Get Help with PTSD

Living with PTSD can affect every aspect of daily life—morning, noon, and night. The episodes of anxiety and revisualisation have no filters or limitations.

You may be fully aware of the cause of your PTSD, or you may not. An event that constantly reoccurs in your thoughts, or perhaps a long-lost “forgotten” comment or incident, may lurk in your unconscious mind.

I understand that everyone is different in how they react and feel, and as such, each person who comes to me with PTSD is treated in a personal, unique manner. Mind therapy is a complementary intervention; it is not intended to replace any treatment which is ongoing but has been shown to assist the person in managing PTSD.

Whether you want to disclose your issue to me is entirely up to you. You give as much information as you wish. Some find describing the issue in detail is too painful, while others find it helpful. Whatever the case, I can work with you.

My work with children and, of late, with SSAFA has given me the knowledge of just how PTSD impacts daily activities—the frequent and repetitive replay of events and a mind that will not settle in waking or resting hours. The devastating impact on life, with loss of confidence and fear creeping into routine daily activities, is undeniable.

You may be among those who have tried to cover up these feelings for some time, as many do. In contacting me, you have made the first step, and with one small, steady, manageable step at a time towards being the person you want to be, I will be there to support you.

There are many mind therapies which I can guide you through, and I will give you the support to help yourself beyond the therapy room.
